Dear community
We updated Trados from Version 16.0.1.2017 to 16.2.9.9198 and now we are experiencing errors when running parallel batch tasks with the project automation API.
It seems like they are concurring about the plug-in resouces while pretranslating and generating analysis reports.
The new errors are:
"Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei "C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\Multilingual XML FileType.sdlplugin" zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird."
As well as (Batch task analyse):
System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Der Index war außerhalb des Arraybereichs.
Restarting the batch tasks lets them finish.
Do you have any idea what changes and how to solve it?
Kind regards,
Kai Piontek
Hi Kai Piontek,
Thank you for reporting this issue. We will need to investigate support provided for this FileType from the Project Automation API and identify if we need to make further adjustments. For now I have added an item on our board, internal reference: SDLCOM-3153; we'll followup once we pick this up.
I might followup with you directly if we need more information.
Thank you,
Patrick.
I've not been able to reproduce this error. It would help if you could share the source code related to the automation procedures with me at phartnett@sdl.com
Can you explain a bit more, what you mean, when you say: "running parallel batch tasks with the project automation API."? Please keep in mind that Trados Studio desktop application is not designed to simulate server behavior. I fear that the case you are describing here is related to that, in which case, it's simply not supported. However, instead of jumping to that conclusion, It would be useful if you could share your code with me and I will follow up with a more conclusive response.
