Our application runs as a background service that processes messages requesting to do something over the Studio

RE: Problem with releasing Project Automation API license in Studio 2022

Hi,

Apologies for the very delayed response to this topic. After various communications between different parties, including someone from RWS, our understanding is that the current behavior is intended, and the license should remain checked out while the application is running.

Going forward, we will simply make sure to use the license release method before shutting down the application as intended, so if there is a need to free up the license, it can be done like this. This is an acceptable solution for us, so this issue can be considered resolved.

RE: Problem with releasing Project Automation API license in Studio 2022

Hi Bram van der Steen ,

The current licensing of the API's was aligned with the flows from the Studio application. Like you mentioned one license is consumed when using the API's for the first time and it's not released until you close the application and manually release that license.

To be able to provide you a solution I would really appreciate if you would share more of the use case of your application. What kind of projects are you creating ? How long is you app being idle before creating another set of projects ?

Best regards,

Cornea Robert

RE: Problem with releasing Project Automation API license in Studio 2022

Thanks Bram van der Steen - we'll review this and come back to you.
