GroupShare - Find text in tracked deletions

Currently, it is possible to find words in tracked deletions only if using Studio Advanced Display Filter. Neither Studio, nor GS OE Find have that capacity. This means that while someone working in Studio can find both deleted and not deleted instances of a certain word using Advanced Display Filter, GS OE users cannot do so. So, for example, they cannot check if newly translated content uses same verbiage as the deleted content used to do. This is important for Regulatory Labelling content, where one cannot rely on TM Concordance, but rather has to keep/check consistency of content within a specific file. Enabling GS Find to also find content in tracked deleted text would ensure better compliance and quality in Regulatory Labelling translations.

  • GroupShare - Find text in tracked deletions is a crucial feature request for improving the efficiency and quality of regulatory labeling translations. Currently, this capability is available only when using Studio Advanced Display Filter, leaving GroupShare Online Editor (GS OE) users without the same functionality.

In Studio, users can find both deleted and not deleted instances of a specific word using the Advanced Display Filter.
However, GS OE lacks this capacity, preventing users from efficiently checking if newly translated content uses the same wording as previously deleted content.

Regulatory Labelling content requires meticulous consistency.
TM Concordance alone is insufficient for ensuring consistency, especially when dealing with tracked deletions.
Having the ability to find content in tracked deleted text is essential for maintaining compliance and quality.

Enabling GS OE to find content in tracked deletions would significantly enhance the translation process.
This feature would empower translators to verify consistency and adherence to regulatory standards.
