Not Considering

We are not considering this at this time. We would like to avoid multiple list handling beyond what Windows offers. Esc closes an open list and Ctrl+Comma can then open the other. Longer term it could be interesting to see in how far upLIFT fragment results overlap with placeable elements and thus such elements start appearing in the AutoSuggest list anyway. But for now these are two separate mechanisms.

Enable Quickplace when Autosuggest list is open

I don't know if it's a bug or made on purpose, but currently, when typing and the Autosuggest list is open, it's impossible to use ctrl+comma and ctrl+full stop to use Quickplace. The shortcuts simply don't work. You first need to press Esc to close Autosuggest. Hence my request to fix/enable this.

Parents
  • Or let me put it this way: it would be great if the Autosuggest list didn't block the use of Quickplace. Quickplace should be given a priority. Since Autosuggest is triggered by the letters we type (without the need to use any key combination), it would do no harm if it closed automatically after using ctrl+comma, giving priority to Quickplace.
