Narrowing down a PowerPoint file

It would be good to have a facility whereby you can narrow down a PowerPoint file, so that you only translate text in the NOTES section. This is not currently available.

  • Also the advanced display filter makes it easy.

    Just go to the "Document Structure" tab and select everything except "Note" to display all content you do not want to translate.

    Next, just lock all the content and what is left will be the Notes section.

  • Notes go after every slide by default. But you can select 'Notes after all slides' (Options -> File Types ->MPP 2007-2013 -> Notes and shapes), then just find the first note, copy source to target and lock all segments before that first note, then just translate what remains.

    With 2017 you can also filter by Document Structure Information: letter N stands for notes
