it would be faster if step 3 (user profile) would be set before step 2 (details about current user) but for this these details would have to be saved within the profile (if not already implemented that way).

Why change the order?

As these details normally do not change you select your profile and have everything filled in and in the next step you can than check whether this data is still up to date or needs to be changed.

If you have to set up an new profile, then you enter your details in the next step, but for users with an existing profile, it would speed up things a bit. Even if it's only at least 1 minute as this is normally no recurring task (except in translation companies, where IT staff has to go through many PCs repeating this all the time). 1 minute is still valuable time for every translator.
