Not sure if this would make using Online Editor in Trados Team/Enterprise more atractive, but the feature was added there.

1) Why not to share plugins via AppStore and have them signed?

2) Does your plugin enable to select a chunk of text across segments and see the number of all characters within selection?

3) Do you plan to create Studio 2019 version?

I have developed a PlugIn for my own use that can deal with this problem.
It's not signed by SDL as I don't wish to put my plugins on the SDL's AppStore,
and I only have this for SDL Trados Studio version 2017,
but I can make it available to you if you like.

I would love to have a function that displays the number of characters in the target text, not only in source. Maybe such request could be integrated in any "show number of characters" feature.
