Sorting parser rules

Dear development team, would it be possible to add a sorting feature to the parser? It would be helpful to be able to sort the rules according to their properties, rather then just using the "Search for" field.

Sorting is available in the Reports, Files and Projects view, so why not in the parser?

  • I understand that, but it may be technically possible to add a column with the number of the rules, in order to find a specific one quickly when sorting, without changing the order.

    The reason for my idea was mostly the fact that entering a letter in the search field (for example "a" in the TYPO3 file type) will find any rule containing the letter a (data, notranslate, param, meta,...), thus one has to click the down button multiple times before finding the element "a".

  • Why not in the parser? Because the order matters.

    Just like in the file types lists.
