Add button to “Download Complete” window

Currently, it forces you to click "close" with no other purpose. It would be nice to have an “Open File” or “Open Folder” option so the window serves a purpose other than just forcing you to click “Close”.

  • Hi Elizabeth,

We want to enhance the complete download functionality. Although, today you can select multiple output formats for download,  you are prompted over and over again to open or save the output for each of these. Next, when a download is complete, you are prompted again with the dialog you were referring to.

We want to change the behavior and introduce some kind of download manager.

    Steps:

    1. Go to the Output tab in Publication Manager

    2. Select one or more outputs

    3. Click the Download button

    Result:

All output formats are downloaded to a download area, which is a fixed location on your computer. Users can see progress in Publication Manager, as the file is downloaded. When the download is complete, they can click it and the file will be opened. Alternatively, users can also use a menu "Downloads", similar to the behavior in Chrome, which will bring them to the download area.

Like this, users will be prompted 0  times

    How does that sound?

    Frank
