Add "Copy link for the Organize Space" to the "Copy link for" right-click function of Publication Manager Content panel.

There are many situations where power users flip between using Publication Manager and the Organize Space (particularly when working with updating images, which is criminally clumsy in Publication Manager) and being able to right-click, grab a link, paste it into a browser, and immediately have than resource onscreen in the Organize Space would be very useful.

  • Hi Andriy,

I can give you another use case :)

All reporting and translation management is only available in Organize Space, but most publication editing happens in Publication Manager.
We do use the workflow and translation report, because we need to translate our documents into >48 languages. So being able to easily access a report or have the publication available for the preparation of the translation job would erase some frictions in this process.

Right now, people have to either remember the title and folder location of the publication, or open the properties to copy the GUID, then go to Organize Space and paste the GUID in the Locate box, or browse through the repository to get to their publication.

I would love to have the shortcut to Organize Space available for the publication, just like Draft and Review Space, which are available on the publication in the content panel as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Eva

  • Hello  and other voters,

Thank you for the idea and for supporting it.

Would it be possible to share more use cases than updating the binary for the image?

I am asking to understand the scope and the need.

Since, for example "Copy link" option is available only for objects that are part of the outline (content panel).

So image that is used as a link (as a reference) will not have an option "Copy link".

    Thank you
