Currently, as far as I know, we have to specify each and every metadata field we want to include in exports, using the XML Background Task settings. However, this can get pretty tedious if we just want to export everything as is so that we can then import an exact copy of the content into a new environment. In particular, it's difficult to find a field's level value (i.e. logical, version or language). I have not found a good, quick way to do this...
Perhaps there is a way to do what I am suggesting - an exact copy content port. But I have not found it so far...
