I know it's not possible to remove the permission of deleting published items from the publishing queue, But nice to keep this option manageable permissions then it's a great feature, Lot of customers looking for this option for auditing purpose.
Update: Though this is an interesting idea, this specific request is currently not planned based on our program planning and prioritization of all Tridion Sites ideas for early 2018. We may revisit this and other great ideas based on more information and additional votes.
