Contractions in French

Question

Dear RWS LW team, 
 A colleague reported the following error to me, which is interesting 
 EN source: Users are not bound to these changes and are free to amend them in any way they choose. 
 FR MT: Les utilisateurs ne sont pas li&eacute;s &agrave; ces modifications et sont libres des modifier de la mani&egrave;re qu'ils choisissent. 
 It seems that the engine is too rigid when following the contraction rule "de" + "les" in French. In this case, it should have been "de les", without contraction. 
 Would it be possible to improve this?

 I would like to confirm that a new version of our English to French generic model has been released. The new version addresses the issue you reported to us and delivers a more fluent and accurate output. Dear Laurent and Yannick, 
 Thank you for reporting this issue to us. I am happy to inform you that it will be addressed in the upcoming version of our English to French generic model, scheduled to be released in production by mid-July. 
 In addition to this fix, this version delivers an improved MT output in terms of fluency, readability and accuracy. We hope you will benefit from all the quality improvements we are working on. I will follow-up with a confirmation as soon as the new model is available in Language Weaver.
