Language Weaver Edge 8.5.7 has been released

Hi all,

I'm happy to announce that Language Weaver Edge 8.5.7 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

This version is a patch release that contains the following improvements and fixes:

What's new?

  • Added automatic configurable temporary account lockout ((default 60 sec) on repeated failed login attempts (default 5)
  • Updated the Content Insights (Summarizer) image tag to 8.5.7.0 - stability improvements and better error notification

Fixes

  • Expire the HTTP session token on logout
  • Fixed improper timeout that would occur if a job was in progress for more than 30 minutes
  • Increment the Adapted LP training maximum TU count to 30 Million
  • Do not show the "Suggest a better translation" button on the Translate page if the user's role does not allow them to submit feedback
  • Do not show the Interactive Translation Editor (ITE) option On the Translate page options, if the user's role does not allow use of the ITE
  • Fixed an XLIFF/TMX handling bug that would occasionally result in the output being invalid formatted
  • Prevent the addition of an extra new-line in the "suggested feedback" segment translations
  • Fixed handling of email (.eml) input documents that did not contain a specified content-type
  • Fixed the display of the segment and dictionary legend on the Translate page
  • Fixed the display of Dictionaries in the Translation settings UI when the number of dictionaries is greater than 25

License consideration when upgrading:

  • If you are already using Language Weaver Edge 8.5.2, 8.5.3, 8.5.4, 8.5.5 or 8.5.6, you can safely upgrade to 8.5.7 and no new license is needed.
  • If you are upgrading from 8.5.0 or 8.5.1 on Windows (Bare metal / VM) or Linux (Bare metal), you can safely upgrade to 8.5.7 and no new license is needed.
  • If you are upgrading from 8.5.0 or 8.5.1 on Linux Virtual Machines, due to security improvements introduced in 8.5.2, the service will now run with a non privileged user. In some virtual environments, a new license may be needed after the upgrade. If you are running on Linux Virtual Machines, you may want to get a new 8.5.7 license generated before running the upgrade. Please ask a new license through your gateway account, with the current myhosts.json of your Edge setup.
  • Direct upgrade from other 8.X previous releases is supported, but an 8.5 license will be required. The new license can be requested through your gateway account, and it can be generated based on your current myhosts.json file (there is no need to wait for the upgrade to be done to get the license generated - we can generate the license in advance so it can be available when the upgrade is performed).

We hope you'll enjoy this new release, and please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you!
