I finally decided to move from Baccs to BM Lite.
Today I wanted to import my data from Baccs to BM Lite that I exported to JSON before, but I get the error "File cannot be opened".
Do I need BM Essential for this?
Thanks for the help.
Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

I downloaded Business Manager Essential and ended up with a login mask.
According to
Installing SDL Trados Business Manager Essential
I used the following credentials:
user name: Admin, password: User@TBM
It doesn't work, I get the error that "Username or password are incorrect".
Hi Egmont,
Probably you already had database there, and changed password before. This is the only reason why default password does not work. If you don't need your database, then you can delete database folder and appsettings_global.json file. After that, run the app, and the new database will be created. If you can't delete database and want to restore you password, then I recommend to check this thread, where you can find instructions how to reset your password:
I can't tell you what version of baccs I am using, the button "About" is not working
Version can be found by hovering 'i' icon in the left bottom corner. I think you use TBM 6.
Do you think I can import everything to Business Manager Essential?
TBM Lite does not support importing from Essential version. We have introduced Lite along with TBM 5, so Lite only supports import from TBM 5. After releasing TBM 6, we have stopped Lite development, and for this reason migration from TBM 5 to TBM Lite is not supported and wasn't implemented, sorry.
Thank you for your instruction. I think there is a misunderstanding: I used Baccs before, not Trados Business Manager.
So TBM Light is not supported anymore? I think it is better to switch to Essential then.
Thsi is from the referenced thread:
2. Open application database there (by default, stored in app install folder\resources\bin\database)
Where exactly can I find this folder? What does "App install folder" mean?

I found the folder, but there is not database in the folder that can be opened.
I would like to post a picture, but I am not sure how I can do this here.
I found the database, it was in the folder "Documents"
I am totally lost now and pretty unsatisfied.
Why can't I log into the Business Manager? Why does the old version of Baccs don't start?
I opened DB Browser for SQLite and the table PermissionPolicyUser for the database, but it is empty.
Then I deleted the database and json, but nothing happened.
Is it really so complicated just to get the software started? I have a pile of invoices to write and no time for this.
I am going to find another solution.
Hi Egmont,
I'm also a bit lost in your questions and strange issues.

Make screenshot, copy, paste.

If you delete database file and appsettings_global.json file, and then start the app, it will create a new database. Does this happen? When deleting these 2 files, the app starts to behave as you have clean installation.
Why does the old version of Baccs don't start?
How could I know why it doesn't start?? Error messages, or something?

Sorry, can't agree. There is simple rule, descrubed here:
We have one more ongoing conversation in another thread, could be helpful as well:
