Dear all, the RWS Drupal connector version 1.4.9 is now available. The main improvements are mostly on the side of enhanced logging and stability improvements. The connector now optionally allows for automatic project submission that is triggered automatically when content is modified.

The Drupal connector has now been re-released as version 1.5.0 which includes only a small class initialization change in the code that was needed to ensure compatibility with Drupal 11

Dear all, the RWS Drupal connector version 1.4.2 is now available. We have put quite a bit of work into it, making sure multilingual submission is now available everywhere that we could implement it. We have also implemented batch submission for multilingual submissions to prevent time-outs and make submissions faster. Batch implemented on multilingual job submission job item wise, which will prevent timeouts and make submission faster. We have also implemented support for continuous jobs and introduced a functionality for re-submitting failed jobs.

Improvements:

Resubmission of failed jobs.

Bug Fixes:

"All Job items are conflicting error" on specific cases - fixed.
"Object instance not set to an instance of object" handled to show proper error message.

Deprecated warnings from RecursiveDomIterator.
Removed Field export option.
"Container not initialized error" - fixed.

Dear all,

After running through a Drupal connector integration improvement program and releasing multiple minor releases that were solving minor issues on the fly for individual customers, we are happy to announce a new release for the Drupal connector with many improvements and enhancements:

- The Drupal connector will now allow you to submit multilingual projects: you have the ability to just quickly submit multiple files into multiple languages, or decide for each individual page which languages it should be translated into

- We have added a number of improvements in the logging functionality, that will help us troubleshoot faster

- We have added a functionality that will confirm the configuration and correct language mapping automatically at the click of a button

- We have added multiple new rules for dealing with messages coming from RWS TMS or Drupal and made them more user-friendly and easier to understand

- We have addressed some issues coming from the TMGMT module and found ways to process them through the connector code, leading to fewer errors

- In a multilingual project on the project view, it is easy to see for which language is the review task open

- Many other minor bug fixes and improvements

Hello Roberto, no, the connector will not work with Trados Studio Freelance as it does not have an API. The best option would probably be installing the TMGMT module in Drupal and utilizing the File Exchange option. It will allow you to export an XLIFF file that can be translated and then returned back to TMGMT. For more information, please see here: Translation Management Tool | Drupal.org

Dear Community,

We have just released a new version of the RWS Integration for Drupal.

This version 1.2.0 contains a number of improvements and fixes to the overall solution and most notably includes an option to submit multilingual projects. It allows a very flexible interface to select the languages for each item submitted independently and will create a single translation project both in Drupal and in the translation management system. It also includes some improvements regarding processing the text and special characters.

Also, does this module work to integrate Trados with Drupal?

Hi Andreas

The Drupal Integration currently works with SDL Managed Translation / SDL TMS, and by the end of Q3, 2019 will also support SDL WorldServer. So either your customers, or you as an LSP, would require one of these TMS's to be able to connect to Drupal. SDL Trados woudl then retrieve the packages directly from the TMS.

Dear Community,

The January '19 update for the SDL Integration for Drupal is now available from your given download location.

This version 2.0 contains a number of stability and bug fixes to the overall solution.

Improved language mapping capabilities between Drupal language codes and SDL
Improved project status updates between Drupal TMGMT and SDL
Improved logging and error handling

In addition a fix was made to the Drupal TMGMT module to resolve an issue where content created with duplicate names was causing import issues. A Drupal ID is now added to the filename in order to perform the correct file import methods to Drupal TMGMT.

This forum will cover information and product releases for the SDL Integration for Drupal in general.

There will be product updates and release notes to support Drupal 7 for SDL TMS and Drupal 8 for SDL TMS and SDL Managed Translation.

There will be separate forum posts that discuss specific items for each of the SDL products as some features and functionality vary. Please be sure you are aware of the product specified in the forum discussion.

When posting a question, ensure to specify the version of Drupal and the version of the SDL Language Technology you are connecting to as this will help identify the right solution.
