From what I recall, Origin is assigned to all segments who are in a n initial draft state.
Where as Interactive is specific to translations that where done but then got amended, as in the case of post editing or amending of TM entries

Francois massion you can filter for interactive segments when in the editor view, by using the advanced display filter
