I want to install Trados Studio 2022 on Mac but I am receiving this error message. What should I do?
You can’t open the application “TradosStudio2022_17.0.3.11695.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on macOS.

Well... the short answer is install Studio on a windows operating system. It is not supported on a MAC.
The longer answer may be as suggested in this knowledge article: https://www.trados.com/support/how-to-run-sdl-trados-studio-on-an-apple-mac.html

Hi Paul -
I'm thinking about making my next laptop a Mac. I want to be sure to get a machine that will be able to run Trados. I will probably use Bootcamp, but I should probably get something that would make it possible to use Parallels if necessary. Do you have any recommendations about particular hardware requirements for this scheme or is there someone else who could advise?
Johana Reyes Marceline Therrien
I strongly suggest that you purchase and install Parallels. Do not use Bootcamp, this solution is only supported on Intel-based Macs and they are slowly disappearing. If you purchase a new Silicon-based Mac, you will not be able to run Bootcamp.
You have only 2 solutions: Parallels or VMWare Fusion.
I would give the preference to Parallels. And one advice: make sure you have at least 16 GB of RAM, preferably more, because Trados Studio needs a VM with at least 8 GB RAM and you still need additional RAM for MacOs.
