Just for clarification, does this mean that I cannot have an instance of 2022 and an instance of 2021 open at the same time?

I'm pretty sure this was possible before. Is there a fix in the works?

That`s possible only for Freelance licenses, if they are not deactivated before the upgrade. For all other types of licenses it is necessary to deactivate the license in order to process the upgrade.

The only way to run both versions simultaneously is to purchase separate licenses for each version, not an upgrade.
