Trados Studio 2024 Freelance crashes after installation

Question

I just bought the license to upgrade from Trados Studio 2021 Freelance to Trados Studio 2024 Freelance. By now, I went through the steps to activate the new license in my account and downloaded Studio 2024. When opening the .exe file it takes my through the installation process just fine, but when I then want to open the program, I get an error message that Trados Studio doesn&rsquo;t work anymore and the choice to debug or close the program. Trados 2021 is still installed on my computer and I am able to open it. 
 What could be the problem here and why is the program crashing?
