I suggest you first make sure you have the latest updates in Trados Studio, the bell form the top right corner is grey, and if that doesn't help then reset.
To do this just close Trados Studio and then delete these folders:
%appdata%\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\
%appdata%\Trados\Trados Studio\18\
You will lose your plugins, and also your settings, but your projects and other resources will remain untouched. Putting the plugins back is trivial via the integrated appstore.
If you can't find these folders then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:
Then restart Trados Studio and see if that helped.

Hi Jack,
Try to reset Trados to its default state:
You can reset Trados Studio to default settings by renaming the following folders on your machine:
For Trados Studio 2024:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados - rename the Trados Studio folder
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Trados - rename the Trados Studio folder
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents - rename the Studio [version] folder to Studio [version]_old
Please let me know if this works.
Kind regards,
Anca

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work.
Hi, Jack. Have you resolved the problem?
Hi Jack Zhai ,
Here on the forum we are not the technical support team, the best thing to do when you have an open case is to write back to the technical team and to follow their instructions and to inform them if their suggestion does not work.
The case was closed, I don't have access to what you discussed with the technical support team members, but if there was no conclusion from them as to why it does not work, I can open another case.
Kind regards,
Anca

If this problem only happens to me, I don't think it's necessary to waste other people's time to solve it. The problem may be that my operating system version is too old or special.
Hi! It is not something common to happen, and it might be related to the OS. Thank you for letting me know.

I've recently encountered the same problem.
My husband was able to resolve this with these steps.
What helped was to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x86 and x64.
Completely uninstall Trados.
Restart the computer, then download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x86 and x64 from the official Microsoft website.
Then install Trados from scratch and run it with admin rights.
Hope it helps.
I just followed your steps exactly and unfortunately, it still doesn't work. Thank you.
