StorageVersionDataOutdated - The database contains data in an outdated format which cannot be automatically migrated to the current schema

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well and not working too hard!

We were running GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU8 and were hoping to update to CU10. Assuming installation over the old one would be OK, and with no live work we went ahead and everything went very well. There was one slight issue with one of processes unable to Logon, but that was resolved quickly. The console constantly showed all the GroupShare processes being run. We were able to interact with GroupShare as usual with our Studio but a couple of days later when we first tried to do something with one of TMs, this error concerning schema versions in SQL appeared: StorageVersionDataOutdated - The database contains data in an outdated format which cannot be automatically migrated to the current schema).

We made every effort and followed all phases on updating the schema versions in SQL but no luck:

Phase 1 – https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000005864

Phase 2 (containing 4 steps) - https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=Manually-updating-a-TM-Container-in-Microsoft-SQL-Management-Studio-for-SDL-GroupShare-2014-SP2

In the instructions it says we must locate and then apply scripts called “TMServer-upgrade-8.14 (or later in my case)-to-8.15 (or later)” however there are no scripts named “TMServer-upgrade-xxx”.

Could the name of the script be different than “TMServer-upgrade-xxx-to-…”. Has anyone had a similar problem and was able to update the tables?

I wish you a nice day.

Afrim
