Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with Passolo where it doesn't import the status of a translation after synchronization via export bundle on FTP server. When the source text changes but no adjustment is needed in the target language (e.g. when a typo is fixed in the source), the translators simply change the status from "Untranslated" to "For review", butPassolo fails to import the new status.
Example:
I can see in the exported bundle that the translator changed the string status to "For review":
But because nothing has changed in the target language, the status was not updated correctly. In fact, the whole history entry is missing:
I was able to reproduce this problem with other strings as well. Passolo only registers any changes to a string if the actual target text was modified.
Is this a bug or should the translators do something differently? We don't want them to validate strings on their own.
My version: Passolo 2022, Collaboration Edition, 22.0.207.0
Edit:
Maybe related to this: When we validate a string on our side and then synchronize the project, the exported bundle initially adopts the status but immediately overwrites it with the previous status. Both are retained in the history.
Added a related issue concerning validated strings that don't have the correct status in the exported bundle
