Hello,
I'm trying to resolve a bug related to Trados Subtitling. It occurs when I click on the settings button in subtitling preview - it makes Trados freeze and crash immediately (as shown on the screen capture).
Before that, when I open an .srt file, I also get the error message : "the object reference is not set to an instance."
I should also mention that I'm using Trados 2022 (SR2 version) free trial version.
Could someone please help me fix the issue?

Sorry to come back to this topic, but would someone have any idea what could be the cause of this problem, please ? I can provide more information if necessary.
The main problem is that the subtitling preview shows a blank window, and I don't have access to the video path which would allow me to select a video.
If possible, please check the details of the Studio version, the exact full version you're using. This is visible in Help tab>About Trados Studio. Seeing you're using a trial, I imagine your Subtitling plugin may not be compatible with your Studio version. So can you also check the plugin version you're using? You can see the version if you go to the integrated appstore view inside Trados:
Once we have the info, I have a starting point to investigate more

I am using this version : Trados Studio 2022 SR2 - 17.2.9.18688.
As for the subtitling plug-in, I'm using this version : Studio Subtitling 3.1.4.0.

I now have a Trados license.
But that hasn't solved the problem: I still cannot have access to the video path on Trados Subtitling and Trados freezes and crashes when I click on Settings.
Would you have any idea how I could solve this issue, please?

Please let me know if you're creating a single file project - so you drag and drop the file for translation and use "Translate as single document" option?
If so, please try again using the standard project, fro the Projects view, > Create project.

I hadn't thought about that.
I used the "translate as a single document" option.
And it seems that opening the subtitle file via the "new project" option has solved my problems.
I can now access the video path and Trados doesn't crash anymore.
