What is the situation?
The MyMemory team will need to contact us to discuss getting this app added to the Private AppStore. Once this is done we can make it available again.
Thanks Paul for yr quick response.
Why the Private Appstore and not the general App Store as it was before?
If not possible can you recommend an alternatve?
Best Regards
Francis
Dear Paul
Thanks for your advice. I used Language Weaver both English to French and Japanese to French.
E to F is rather good (I cannot say if better or worse than My Memory?) .
J to F is usually not so good but it helps to save time.
Best Regards
Francis
Merci Gérard pour le plug-in.
Francis
You are right! I hope everything will come back as normal. Anyway your help is always appreciated!
Francis
Cordialement.
Gérard
You can also find the 2021 and 2022 versions in the integrated appstore. Slowly but surely the number of apps available through here are increasing.
Hello Paul
I am pleased to read that, but from my recent intensive reading I infer that many of the RWS Community members are still feeling uncomfortable about your "Private Appstore".
Best.
Gérard
Thank you both for your kind replies. I have since obtained the plugin directly from the provider.
Thanks again for your kind help!
from my recent intensive reading I infer that many of the RWS Community members are still feeling uncomfortable about your "Private Appstore".
Two questions then. First one is where do you see "many" of the Community member still feeling uncomfortable about this... "still" must also infer you mean recent? Second, I'm not sure why you made this statement without adding some sort of clarification around what you think we should do about this?

(the Private Appstore)? By reading hundreds of RWS Community e-mails (I was ±1,000 e-mails late!). How? Through the number of times you must remind the link to the Private Appstore wiki in this forum.
recent?
Over the last 30 day period.
what you think we should do about this?
You sure know better than me. I may be wrong, but I do not believe that the creation of this Private Appstore was a long-planned operation; I would rather favour an emergency remedy for some serious failure of the good old "public" Appstore.

The capability in Studio to use a Private AppStore was definitely planned. The use of the Private AppStore for everyone was not planned. However, it fulfills its puprose in terms of the Studio integration completely. Once we have all the apps back there is really no difference for users at all.
In terms of being able to download other types of apps you're right. But we are also working on this at the moment and should have a new website that will actually draw from the Private AppStore and allow us to host more types of apps there.
So the "good old Public AppStore" will in fact be provided in full by the Private AppStore concept, but a more sophisticated version of it that we have been working on.

Bound to have happened to begin with but for a few recent releases of Studio the setup in already there when you install. So I don't see the fact this is a "Private AppStore" as being relevant at all anymore.
I was ±1,000 e-mails late!
Indeed.
