PDF docs do not appear

Hello,

I just upgraded to 2022.

I have a major issue as scanned PDF docs (sent to me by clients) do not appear when I start a project. The final screen only shows a blank page. I also downloaded the PDF Assistant for Trados plug-in. I tried converting the doc in question there first. Nothing, it gave me an 'unsuccessful' message. Yet, I really need to be able to work from scanned docs as most clients send them to me this way.

Any help?
