Quick question : If I installed Trados Studio 2024 - 18.0.1.2259, does it mean I have the cumulative update? (Trados Studio 2024 CU1)
My version was reinstalled and reactivated November 1st.

I installed Trados Studio 2022 freelancer in a brand new computer and it stopped working on January23 of this year. It gives me all kind of errors when trying to open a file which does not allow me to do. It was working great since early January but now I cannot work because no one even in this community were able to help me. It says things such as key error with a whole bunch of numbers and similar errors. I am losing a lot of work as a result, please, what can I do? Thanks!

To be honest, I am quite disappointed by this change since it has removed a very useful feature for me from the PDF file type Coverter setting, respectively the "Recognize PDF text" options:

The old feature has proven very useful with a document that was impossible to read with any other tool (except for Abbyy FineReader, of course), but to be honest not all of us can afford to also have a separate OCR tool or even an Acrobat Pro license for some "stubborn" pdf files. I am sorry but I see myself obliged to uninstall Studio 2022 CU6 and return to at least Studio 2022 CU5. [emoticon:ca08b2c27c2f40e993e89508acf29e0b]

When exporting af user profile from 2021 for use in SDL Trados 2022 so that I keep my settings it seems that not everything comes with it.

Is there somewhere that I can see what is included?

I have a freelance plus and I want to have two identical environments so if the user profile could contain everything it would be nice, but it doesn’t seem so.

I understood the question to ask: how long will I be able to upgrade from Studio 2019 to the latest version?

Currently, RWS is offering an upgrade price from 2019 to 2022 at $279. This is a 45% discount but still a lot of money.

How long do I have to take advantage of this offer? When will I no longer be able to upgrade but will rather have to buy a new version at full price?

Thank you for providing this information ASAP so that I can make an informed purchasing decision.

We recently had your Professional Services team upgrade our installation from GS 2017 (Build 14.2.60175) to GS 2020 SR1 CU5 (15.1.5.7243).

Is it possible to install this new Cumulative Update 6 without having your Professional Services team involved?

Have you updated Trados Live to work with TMs configured with Spanish (modern) yet. When I would upload such files they would never leave the “processing” stage. I reported this and was told that you would be working on a fix. This was a few months ago so I’m hoping you have it fixed by now.

Thank you. Installed via auto notification. Before doing that I uninstalled beta. CU4 has taken over from there, so now I am working with the updated version.

I had a situation where if I used a TM with Spanish “modern” the file would process for days and days and never be ready for translation. Someone from SDL looked into this and walked me through the steps and they had the same problem happen. If I use a different flavor of Spanish such as “traditional sort” then there is no problem. Most of my TMs use Spanish “modern”” so I’m hoping not to have to convert them whenever I want to use a Trados live and that this bug will be fixed. Has this been fixed yet?
