Thanks for being the first person to respond to my question.

If I understand you correctly, the Perfect Matches cannot possibly show up in the analysis report, as Perfect Match has yet to run. This is confusing, because the sdlxliff file itself contains the applied PM segments. What I get in the file is not what I see in the analysis. I re-ran the analysis bask task and, as you pointed out, the PM segments then indeed show up in the analysis report.

This is due to the fact that this sample file included in this sample project is an SDLXLIFF file that has been created on another PC after having run the PM batch task. This is why you don't see the analysis result of that PM batch task. 
It is included for training purposes to show how an SDLXLIFF looks like after having applied Perfect Match.

Thanks for weighing in. I am no longer able to create PerfectMatches with my Studio version, so I cannot test all this on my own.
Assuming I have the Pro version, when I create a project using PerfectMatch on my own, I still assume that I will see the PerfectMatches in my Analysis report.

Oh yes Thea Steinvorth you need a professional version if you are to actually implement PM as seen here: https://www.trados.com/products/trados-studio/editions-comparison.html

Of course - once the project has been prepared and PM has been applied, then anyone can work with PM as they see fit.
