I have installed language weaver in my studio 2024 software.
Unfortunately, when I wanted to add Language Weaver in my translation memory and automated translation I get the following message:
authentification failed, object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Any suggestions?

Hi Karen,
Did you install it using the Plugin Management tool, or via the AppStore site?
If so, you probably don't have the latest version Language Weaver... uninstall it, restart Studio then use the on-board AppStore tool in Studio 2024 via (tab) Add-Ins > RWS AppStore > Plugins.

there is more this problem.
Previously (in Trados Studio 2022) I could add Language Weaver to the engine defined in the cloud, but now (in Trados Studio 2024) I can only add it to the project as a local plug-in, and in addition this plug-in does not always work, and often throws feedback errors. To temporarily avid throwing these errors I need to restar my machine few times.
This is annoying and reduces the efficiency of work. I do not understand why willing community members did not test the new version of the software before its release - such are usually the best practices of software development.
Two other problems I noticed so far are:
- if I add one file in the cloud, it is not downloaded to the local instance of Trados Stusio 2024. For this I have to add more files and then they ate only daownload.
- qus.ite often after translating the whole file (100%) nd after closing it you can only see a partial progress bar, e.g. 30%. I have to reopen the file, save it again and then the progress bar returns to normal.
This new software has its advantages, of course (although I haven't noticed any), but it is certainly full of bugs.
As I wrote some time ago, with a certain project I had problems with processing files uploaded to the project in the cloud. I had to upload probably 5 or 6 times the same file with the next version number, although it would have been obvious to add a function to delete files from cloud projects for a user with root privileges, and I am strongly disappointed that there is still no such option in Trados Studio 2024. I do not see any real explanation why as the creator of the project in the cloud and its only owner and user, I cannot fully mange my files. It is quite absurd and annoying.

I don't use Language Weaver so I'm adding Emma Goldsmith as Emma does use it.
Also, Lydia Simplicio because, as I recall, she helped Emma with a Language Weaver issue since the installation of Studio 2024.
My question above, to KAREN McGRATH, was about my recommendation to use the Plugin Management tool to uninstall Language Weaver then reinstall it using the onboard AppStore in Studio 2024, as this should iron out any teething troubles for Karen.

I had a user account issue that RWS Support fixed. Language Weaver now works for me with local projects on Studio desktop. I don't use the cloud, so I'm afraid I can't help there.

can You tell me then with whom I can talk about this issue? I need to use Language Weaver in cloud engine as before. Local plug-ins do not wor properly most of the time.

Lech Lachowski , I don't know, but I suggest you start a fresh topic here, because your issue seems to be different from the OP's.
Yes, that's a good idea. That way, if there is a way that RWS support can help you by looking at your setup for you, they will give you a case number.
Lech, to do this, click the +New button top right of your screen to create a new thread, give your question a subject title then below that, explain your question, giving as many details as you can.
The staff at RWS can only generate one Support Case per thread so this is why you need to start a new thread. KAREN McGRATH started this thread so if she needs to, she can ask for a Support Case to be generated for this thread.

I dont know the full scope of issues you are facing but the basics to cover and you can confirm in your new post would include:
Can you log into: https://us.portal.languageweaver.com/login or into: https://portal.languageweaver.com/login depending on your location
Have you removed ranslationProviderCredentialStore.bin including bin2 from: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18
What does logs say: C:\Users\[~yourname~]\AppData\Roaming\Trados AppStore\Language Weaver Provider
Outline your concerns with as much detail as possible. Including screen prints and error logs where possible so that we can help you further.
