Is it possible somehow to calculate the most used words (excepting connectives etc.) in a text?

Hi,

This is a kind of double question. First, if a text is about a product with a long and difficult name which is mentioned often, I put it as term in MT - is there a better solution (first question)? And I want to be able to check how often the names are used in the text before I start translating. I stat possible (second question)? Like a list of proper names.

Thanks for any input!

Best regards,

Knut

  • Every time you respond without thinking and delete it we still get the emails!

Google it SDL Trados Studio PlugIn - word Cloud (1) (Extract terms from project)

All I see here is that you used the code we wrote to create the cloud in the first place and then wrote some crap about useless XML.  You are also still posting this absolute nonsense at the end of your articles:

Screenshot of a text document with a note stating that the program is free of charge, has no hidden string, and does not have SDL signature. It mentions the refusal of SDL to sign plugins unless they are on the SDL AppStore.

So... if you really believe this is true let me clarify this for you again:

    • there are no hidden strings in the SDL plugins
    • with the exception of Business Manager Lite every single plugin we make available is free of charge
    • we denied signing your plugins unless you make them available on the SDL AppStore, which is also free and you get more advertising.  You can only create these because we make source code available to you free of charge, we make the API available free of charge, and we have helped you when you first started and knew absolutely nothing. It seems a reasonable request to me that if you wish to share them around as SDL approved plugins because we signed them that at least you make them available on the appstore too.
    • I wonder if the reason you won't let us put them on the appstore is that we will check them. What are you hiding? Perhaps users of your plugins should have something to be concerned about?
    • We do not say anyone has to pay money to get the signature.  We won't sign them unless they go on the appstore.  That's it.

If you do not remove this text from your website, which of course is your decision, then we will no longer accept you posting these links because we believe our customers may be at risk from your plugins.
