MultiTerm import - MultiTerm import - Total entries processed: 0

Hi,

I try to import an XML file to Multiterm. Import runs, without problem, then the log file says Total entries processed: 0

The XML has all the 300 entries in it. It is a very simple file, just KR and HU entries listed in it.

Screenshot of MultiTerm import log showing general information and import options. It indicates 0 total entries processed, added, merged, omitted, and written to the output file. Import process timestamps show the same start and end time.

  • Hello,

It seems like you're having trouble importing an XML file into MultiTerm. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you:

Step 1: Ensure that your XML file is correctly formatted and compatible with MultiTerm. The XML file should follow the MultiTerm XML format.

Step 2: Open MultiTerm and go to the Administrator view.

Step 3: Navigate to Public Objects (or Restrictions > Expert User).

Step 4: Right-click on Import and select Add/Create. This will open the Import Wizard.

Step 5: Follow the steps in the Import Wizard. Make sure to select the correct options, such as 'Perform full reorganization after import', 'Allow incomplete entries', and 'Allow over-complete entries' in the Exclusion file.

Step 6: Start the import process. This may take some time, so it's recommended to do it outside of business hours while the termbase is not being used by other users.

Step 7: After the process has been completed, wait for about 30 minutes or so before testing the Full Text Search functionality.

If you've followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, it might be worth checking the XML file for any errors or inconsistencies. If the problem persists, you may want to consider creating a new termbase and trying the import process again.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
