Hi all,
I have recently moved to a new computer and re-installed Studio 2022 + Multiterm.
At the old computer everything worked just fine (and also I have never had any problems with either Studio or Multiterm, though I have used them since many many years).
This time Studio works fine, however, I am unable to use Multiterm.
Whenever I try to open an existing TB, I get the 'Connection to Multiterm server unknown could not be established'. When I try to rename settings.xml (and other folders/files listed in recommendations available in the knowledgebase and forums), I get the 'General error occured Access to the path C:\ProgramData\Trados\Multiterm17\Settings.xml is denied'
I have installed the newest versions of both Studio and Multiterm, read, re-read and tried everything I could find here or elsewhere, but nothing helps.
My Windows version is 23H2, Trados Studio 2022 SR2 - 17.2.11.19134, Multiterm 2022 SR2 - 17.2.4.2822
I don't use any VPN, my computer has a physical address, I am a single user and admin of this computer (which is new and clean of any garbage) and have access to a single broadband network (no additional unidentified networks or connections).
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
