Trados not segmenting on full stop

Question

Hi there,

I have a xliff file which does not segment on full stop. I was trying to achieve a break after the </b>, but now I see, that i doesn't break even on the full stop itself.

I have sentence based segmentation activated.

Any idea?

If the xliff file is segmented already, so has a target element, then it won't segment. If you only have a source element then it will. So a possible solution, if the target element only contains a copy of the source, is to delete the target elements in the XLIFF file with a text editor and work with that.

Hi Burim Bektesi , On the first question... I have no idea since I don't know where the file comes from? You should ask your customer. On 2. Try this: Search for: (]+>).+?() Replace with: $1$2

You have two problems! 
 
1. You have to replace them all. It's all or nothing if you want the segmentation to take effect. 
2. You obviously are not searching and replacing with regular expressisons, or you are using a regex flavour I don't know about.

ok - if that worked for you great. It doesn't for me in my test file. 
 
On the Notepad++... I have no idea. I downloaded and installed Notepad++ just now and my original expressions worked perfectly.
