Has anyone else had problems customising the quick access toolbar in Studio 2021. When I add extra items some of them don't appear at all (e.g. save target as) and some of the other items that were already there temporally disappear (until I reopen Studio)
I have noticed this as well... I don't usually have to reopen Studio to force them to take effect, but I do have to apply the change more than once for it to take effect. I will log this with the development team to address.
Thanks. The ones I have a problem with adding (in Editor) are Save Target As, Create Return Package and Export for Bilingual Review.
Have the development team made any progress with this, the latest Studio update hasn't done anything.
Yes, same here. In addition what has also bothering me for many years is that every time I start Trados, I have to manually select that the toolbar be shown below the ribbon -- since Trados crashes so often (and the 2021 version does so as well), I find this very annoying. I would like to say this here so someone can please do a "save settings on exit" adjustment which seems to me to be a very basic thing. What is more: when I try to customize the toolbar it doesn't let me remove some buttons such as the "SDL AppStore" which I really don't need to access quickly.
Same here. I still have the problem a year later, but only on one of my two computers (the newer one).
This problem is a quite old one, I’d say. And nothing has been done to correct it. I’ve been trying to apply changes on various versions of Studio, and without any obvious logic whatsoever, some changes apply, some changes disappear, some changes never apply. Most frustrating is that we are unable to eliminate any un-needed options -- everyone has preferences, that’s generally why customization exists. And we do spend too much time realizing that the bug has never been fixed. Can we expect any solution anytime soon? Or before Studio 2030?
