Can you tell us why it doesn't work?  For example, is there an error message?  Is the filetype not recognised?  Where did you add the *.txlf... under your file options, project settings, project template?

It would be helpful if you told us exactly what you did do, and what is happening when you try to open it?

I recently encountered problems in working on .txlk files with Trados Studio 2021, too.

I have done the configuration as many instructed. Yet when I tried to added a .txlf working file, it was added to the list but can not be opened while it says 'reference' instead of 'translatable' under the 'Usage' column. Please kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

There are two likely reasons for this:

1. you added the new extension under your Project Settings and then created a new project; or you added the extension under File -> Options and then added the file to an existing project.
2. there is a problem with the txlf file itself

The reason for the first is that Project Settings contain settings for the project you activated only.  It won't change anything else.  And File -> Options will only affect new Projects, not existing ones.

Hopefully that will help as you probably know what you have done.
