The cursor in the Target column constantly disappears and I never know where it is! I just have to guess and start typing to see where it is! How do I fix that? This problem started when I upgrade from Studio 2015 to 2021.

Hello Ingrid Turmel ,
Is the mouse a Bluetooth or wired mouse?
Its worth trying first with a different mouse and/or a different USB port. If its Bluetooth, then disconnect and reset.
Also if you have a Touchpad- try disabling this to see if this helps.
I have the same problem from time to time ... It's, however, not systematic and there are days where I don't have this problem at all. I have a wired mouse and changing the USB port doesn't seem to influence the behaviour. It only happens in Studio, not in other applications. Normally, restarting Studio helps.
Best regards,
Annemieke
I also encounter the same issue randomly, but when it happens, it is always after I confirm a segment. My mouse is wired, but I doubt that it has anything to do with the mouse: what disappears is the blinking input cursor, not the mouse pointer.
The last time it occurred, the input cursor reappeared once I confirmed the segment where it had disappeared. But I'm not sure it is always the case.
Hi, . Several of my colleagues have tried to see if the mouse is the problem and it doesn't seem to be. Anything new on this? Thanks!
Whoever thought this could be a mouse issue doesn't understand the first thing about computers! It's a GUI bug, plain and simple, and apparently RWS/SDL is not able to fix it...
Also having this problem since I updated to 2021. It happens with both my PC (wireless mouse) and my laptop (different wireless mouse). It happens fairly frequently - at least once every 2 hours of work, if not more. I can resolve it by shutting down Trados and starting it back up but I don't think that's something I should have to be doing for a program that costs several hundred euro. Just to confirm the others, it is not the mouse arrow that disappears, but the cursor within the segment I'm translating. And it happens after I confirm a segment.
I can get the cursor to appear again by clicking in the Translation Results window and then clicking in the Editor window again.
It is irritating, but has almost become automatic by now.
Unfortunately, since this is not a critical error, there might not be enough people complaining about it for SDL/RWS to bother fixing it.
By the way, the first time this happened, I tried typing anyway even though the cursor had disappeared --- and the text I typed appeared in the target segment.
So the cursor did not disappear because it moved somewhere else. It was still positioned in the target segment, but just not visible.
I have the same problem since upgrading to 2021. It's very frustrating.
Me too...
