I am having an issue with confirming segments in Studio 2019 on my new laptop. It takes at least 25 seconds to confirm longer segments, shorter works fine. I never had this problem with my old laptop.

It may be some complicated issue related to disk and DB performance, but for a start you may want to check your QA settings, untick all checks and see if it changes anything. If it does, you can translate with all checks unticked and run them at the end instead of each time you confirm a segment.

Thanks a lot for your answer! I will try this and am desperately hoping for a simple fix!
My laptop is brand new (Microsoft Surface), so it should perform well. As for DB performance, I will have to check that. I will also try to re-install Studio, but on the other hand I don't know what could have gone wrong during installation. I do get an error message saying that the IATE termbase has been unabled (I work via a client server, Groupshare). I find this issue so strange, it should just work, shouldn't it? ;) As I said, I have never experienced this problem before and have never had to change any settings.The segments gets confirmed fast if I just type in a word, but when I fill the segment with the whole translation the process slows down.
