Looks like you do not use AutoHotkey, go and get it.

its command you needed is so easy, for instance;

WinSet, AlwaysOnTop, On, Find and Replace
WinSet, Transparent, 166 , Find and Replace

Former gives you the functionality mentioned and

Latter makes your F&R window transparent in halfway etc..

This is my perspective on it:

All be it slightly different but for the sake of comparison, Find feature in MS Word/Notepad also does not always find the correct hit first time round. Only when fine tuning the find options does it pickup the correct hit.

You can run AutoHotkey on its own, you do not need anything else except Windows itself.

Set up programming language AutoHotkey and run code below. That is I am using. You could make your own one too of course.
