I'm using Trados Studio 2021 Freelance SR2 - 16.2.9....
I'm trying to translate a .pptx file, and everything goes well until the very last moment before the document is opened in the Editor, then Studio just shuts down, closes without any error message.Already tried several things like: Reinstall it, Update it to 16.2.10..., Fix it, etc. etc. Nothing works. Any idea? I have a job to get done! I need to work! THX

I'd suggest you try a reset , then recreate your project, see if the same things occurs. To do this just close Trados Studio and then rename this folder:
c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\
to c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16_old\
Finally restart Trados Studio and try again.
If the same problem occurs can you try repairing the PPTX in MS Powerpoint, or maybe open it then resave with a different name?
Thank you Paul,
I've already done that -in addition to many other things. But nothing works.I've received help from another person that told me the error was caused by just one of the .pptx file's slideSo, I deleted the slide, and that works.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks for letting us know. The main thing is you managed to sort your problem out!
