Hi,

Hello,
Yes, there is a procedure for splitting and merging XLIFF files in Trados Studio. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Open the XLIFF file in Trados Studio.
Step 2: To split a segment, place your cursor where you want to split the segment and then click on the 'Split Segment' button on the toolbar or use the shortcut 'Ctrl+T'.
Step 3: If you want to merge segments, select the segments you want to merge. You can do this by holding down the 'Ctrl' key and clicking on the segments. Once you've selected the segments, click on the 'Merge Segments' button on the toolbar or use the shortcut 'Ctrl+Alt+T'.
Step 4: After you've finished splitting and merging, save your changes.
Please note that splitting and merging segments can affect the quality of your translation memory matches, so use these features carefully.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Best regards,

I was asking about XLIFF Split and Merge, not a segment split and merge.
If you mean sdlxliff and not just any old xliff, then studioViews is probably what you want:

Thank you Paul,
Unfortunately the studioViews is not yet available to me
And as I understood it still doent let me split many (a batch of) sdlxliffs into part for translation. But each file (file by file) into parts. Means it is designed for one large sdlxliff, but not a batch of smaller ones.

That would be incorrect. Worth reviewing the wiki here: studioViews
You can select multiple files if you like and then "split" them into whatever you like. So if you had ten files selected you could "split" them into one, or two, or based on wordcount or whatever. Try it.... although note we are waiting for an update to support 2022 SR1 correctly. The breaking changes in this Studio release affected almost every plugin we have.

We now have an SR1 version available which I will add to the appstore after this post. Here's a short video explaining how it works for your usecase:
