After looking into this for you the issue is caused by the segment from the attached screenshot. If I delete the content of the element, the target file can be saved without any issues.

 the Question link is about the other error I encountered after finishing the translation of the same source file:

 Failed to save target content: The element names 'xliff' is an invalid child for the XliffProvider element.

We found that the error seems to be related to the <sc> and <ec> elements, as the issue no longer occurs after removing these from the source file. The error also does not occur when all three <pc> elements have content or none of them have content. There has been a bug raised for this under reference CRQ-39059

This is Irene from BCSD Taiwan. Since my colleague Penny is on her personal leave, now I'll take over this troubleshooting case.

As you mentioned earlier, I had deleted the wrong segment (ICB) in the coding part. And the original error seemed to be solved.

However, when I "save target as" a Xliff file, a new error occured. Although it's written in Traditional Chinese, but I think the error is "Index must be within the bounds of the List. Parameter name: index."

I have found a reference but it seems the solution only for PPT, so it didn't work after I tried.

By keeping searching today, I found this post on the forum. He also met the similar question like us.

 Failed to save target content: Index must be within the bounds of the List. 

According to this, I think the error may be caused by the table of the document . And, the "ICB" element we deleted is a column of the table.

I'm wondering if this realted to the error I mentioned yesterday.

Also, your latest reply mention to remove the <sc> and <ec> elements, but I'm not sure if this would make influence on the layout of the document. Actually, we need Xliff file is because our client need it to export the final document.

So, could you let me know if there is any solution to deal with it? Thank you.
