How to automatically select the source file name and save it in the translation unit metadata?

Hi, 
 Could you please let me know if Trados Studio 2022 or 2024 can automatically write the current source file name into the translation unit after confirming a segment translation? I understand that this can be achieved by adding a custom field and selecting the source file name before the update. However, a project often includes several or more source files. Do I have to manually select the source file name for each file before confirming the translation? Is there a way to automatically select the source file name and save it in the translation unit metadata? Thank you!
