How can I open BOTH the source and target text for editing?

I like your multi-prompting, but you are using terminology quite foreign to the world of CAT tools.

If you have a source and a target file, you have to create what is called a bilingual file first. The tool you need for that is called an “Aligner”. Trados has a built-in aligner, which you can use, but there are many others. You can simply do a Google search "align existing translations with trados studio" or so. There are video tutorials.

That gives you the side-by-side view.

Trados 2024 has a built-in view to access OpenAI (you need a paid account with OpenAI and API credits to use this), and you can then run pre-defined prompts for each "chunk" of text ("segment" - usually a sentence).

Hello! I have managed to align and post-edit my document side-by-side but am having trouble exporting the document back into the original word format.

The Generate Target Files function is coming up with the following error: "Filter definition not found or could not be used to construct a generator"

Any ideas?
