I'm working on an xlf file and have this error message. I've had it before and understand that it comes from a problem with empty comments. Is there a way to find the segment where the empty comment problem is please as I can't see one visually at all. This is a real problem as it's probably just one comment and I'm not going to be able to save my whole target document.

The advice from AI applies only to Excel files and seems to be based on this KB article:

If your document is really an XLIFF file as you mentioned, I doubt that this workaround applies to your case.
Can you please tell us which version of Studio you are using?

Where does the xlf file come from? Does it show any tags as plain text? Does the segmentation fit? Did you insert all tags from the source?

Hello. Thank you for your reply. The xlf was provided by the client. All the segments and tags are fine. I know the issue has come from an empty comment but my problem is not being able to identify the segment where the empty comment is so I can deal with it. Unfortunately the segment isn't identified so I can't find where the problem is. In the end I got round the problem by doing a Perfect Match on the whole document but it would be useful to know if there is a way of identifying the segment where the comment problem is.
Might be worth opening the XLF with a text editor and searching in there?
