Hello!
As far I understand it, I can no longer download any apps to help me split a large XLIFF as my Trados is too old. Could someone please help me do this and then send me the files? Or tell me a way I could do this on my own?

Most likely true. The oldest I could find for this type of thing is for 2015 and it's here:
Archived Versions: SDLXLIFF Split / Merge
This "might" work with 2015 so you should try it but make sure you back up your projects in advance. If it doesn't work we won't be able to fix it as we stopped supporting this particular app a while ago in preference to StudioViews which is much more robust and flexible.

Hi, Paul - thanks for responding. When I clicked that link, it took me to the 2017 version - I imagine I wouldn't be able to use that?
I'd love to upgrade, but I simply cannot afford it.

Perhaps the best approach is to break up the original source file?
