Draft translation has lost

I'm working on a large project and always click Save and Save as to make sure the translation has been saved correctly.
This morning after I restart the PC and reopen my project on Trados Studio 2022, I found the draft translation has been all lost.
Checked in the log file and cannot find any clue for why this happens.

How can I do with my project?

More information here would help.  For example, you said:

How did you do this?  What file are you opening?  If you were sent a package, and you keep opening the package file this is the behaviour you will always see.

Are you using Translation Memory?  If you use a Project Translation Memory there is no need to leave segments draft, you can confirm them all and later on if you like to review use the review status to separate what you have done as "draft" with the ones you have reviewed and checked.  Eventually only updating your Main TM when you're happy with the work.

  • it quite a sensitve file I'm translating. And I'm using a translation memory.
I always translate first with the new translations in Draft status. And I'm using Trados Studio on my Virtual Machine as it doesnot need to shutdown everyday.
But this morning, a message appeared to let me restart the system on the VM. After I saved the project and restart VM, all my draft translation lost, but Save as target contents has been saved into the Word file.

It's the first time I met this issue. And I donnot know where my translation goes.

    Irrelevant.

And I'm using a translation memory.

    Where is it stored?

But this morning, a message appeared to let me restart the system on the VM. After I saved the project and restart VM, all my draft translation lost, but Save as target contents has been saved into the Word file.

Still unclear.  If the target contents are now populated do you mean with the source texts, or with the translated content?  If the latter it makes no sense at all that you cannot see the translations.

Can you please confirm the following:

    1. How are you opening the Project?  Please describe the steps and the files used.

    2. What language pairs are in your project?  Please provide a screenshot like this from your project settings:
Screenshot of Trados Studio Project Settings showing Language Pairs with English (United States) as the Source Language and Portuguese (Brazil) and Portuguese (Portugal) as the Target Languages.
