I tried your suggestions but when I go to INSTALL/UNINSTALL Trados I cannot find the button Repair.
I have only the possibility to INSTALL or UNINSTALL TRADOS and given that I am not a software expert I do not want to uninstall the software and risk not to be able to install it again.
Is there something else I could try to solve the problem?

I run Studio 2022 17.2.12 under Windows 10 fully updated. Faced with a "minor" problem in my Studio, I feel like repairing it. I have seen and read the article hereabove scores of times and unfortunately real life may be different from what it tells.
In my environment, clicking on Trados Suddio (let it be 2022 or 2021) displays two buttons: Modify (greyed and inactive) and Uninstall; and clicking further on Unindtall only displays a bigger Uninstall (button + caution sentence). End of the story!
And I think that a few fellow translators are stuck just like me. ¿Puedes ayudar?

You can continue.… Click on Yes and you will see this dialog box wher you can Repair your Trados Studio application:

No Sir! When I click on the second Uninstall, I only get (at the centre of a full screen) the classical "Do you want to authorize this app to bring modifications to your device?": the last warning before falling into the uninstall process, which is not what I want( to do.
Click on Yes
I forgot: I have no "Yes" in my second "Uninstall" frame, only the caution sentence above uninstall.
In Control Panel, you click first Uninstall/Change menu over Trados Studio 2022:
Then the nuclear button:

Do you have the yes button? OK, here you click on Yes to get this window:
