I had an electrical outage while working in Studio 2022. When I rebooted all of my projects and settings were lost and Studio started as if I was a new user. How do I recover all my settings and files?
Most such settings are stored in a file called projects.xml, located in Documents - Studio 2022 - Projects. If this folder in your computer is connected to OneDrive, you might find a previous version of this file in OneDrive online. If not, the settings are unfortunately lost. Other part of settings is stored in your user profile. Should you have changed keyboard shortcuts, layout or similar, all these changes are stored there. You can find the user profile in File -> Setup -> Manage user Profiles. Should you have a backup copy of your profile, you can simply load it that way.
However, no files or projects are lost. You can restore every single project by using the "Open Project" command from the Projects view and navigating to the folder where a certain project is stored.
For the future it is essential to have a backup of files and folders, including the profiles and the projects.xml. Should you not have any backup, creating a backup on regular daily basis would be my next step.

Not too late for the future: the safest way of working is to power your desktop through an UPS (uninterruptible power supply). Not that expensive!

Thanks for your feedback. I have a UPS. The problem is I ignored the beeping, expecting that I would still have time to shut down properly. Instead of an increasing number of beeps, it shut down suddenly.

Well, I do not know yours, but my UPS allows me 10 to 15 minutes to shut down everything, which is rather comfortable.
