I am having the problem that when I try to import a template it says: Failed to save project data to \\vmware-host\shared folders\documents\studio 2015\projects\projects.xml. In our case, our data were moved from one server to the other, and we can't figure out how to get Studio to write to the new server.

RE: VMWare 8.1 / Windows 7 / Studio 2015

Kevin

You have most probably set the option in VMWare Fusion to share your desktop between Mac and Fusion, which means that your "Documents" folder does not reside inside your Fusion VM, but on the Mac.
This should however not be a problem because you should have access rights to this folder.
I suggest you check your Fusion settings and adapt them. If you don't want to share the desktop, then change the option. I don't know how it is called in Fusion as I am using Parallels, but I am sure you'll find it (will probably be labelled something like "Share desktop with Mac" or "Isolate VM from Mac").

Good luck.
Walter
