SDL TMS 2011 SP5 CU1 | Cumulative Update 1 for SDL TMS 2011 SP5 (August 2014)

We are pleased to announce the release of SDL Translation Management System 2011 Service Pack 5 Cumulative Update 1.

With this release, SDL is delivering a brand new TM Lookup API which, once enabled in SDL TMS, allows third-party applications to perform TM Lookups on the source segments of the associated translation memory without requiring legacy SDLX components. This is particularly useful for document authors who want to ensure source content consistency, delivering maximum translation memory leverage when translating this content in SDL TMS.

In addition, this release provides for the first version of the previously announced Audit Trail functionality. Now, users will be able to use a new report calledAudit Trail located under the Management reports to show changes to SDL TMS Resources over a specified period of time. While this functionality applies only to Resources in this first version of the Audit Trail, we will increase the number of areas that can be audited in future releases.

Finally, this release delivers 2 website security fixes, as well as fixes for:

  • #36361: XLS filter doesn’t extract some text formatting
  • #31230: Cost Formulas that include MIN() and/or MAX() variables result in Tasks going to recovery and Job Details page not loading

Prerequisites

This release is available via an upgrade installer which will update your version of SDL TMS to the current release.

Before running the SDL TMS 2011 SP5 CU1 upgrade installer, you must first install Microsoft® .NET Framework 4 on the server. The main application software is dependent on Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.5 but the installer contains components which require a later version.
